Princess Phaedra Caledonia is an original character in the world of the Etrian Odyssey franchise, specifically connected to Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight.

Once every hundred years, the first princess of the Duchy of Caledonia--the Daughter of the Mark--journeys to the Temple of Ginnungagap in nearby High Lagaard to complete a ritual that ensures all the lands' prosperity. The ritual is a dangerous one, and at least one lady of the Mark, Violetta Caledonia, never returned. So when Violetta's successor Arianna reached her eighteenth year and left for Ginnungagap, the Duke and Duchess made sure they had another potential successor in case Arianna didn't survive. Enter Phaedra, second princess of Caledonia, a young woman very much aware of her status as a "backup princess," who consequently feels like she has to prove her own worth, especially since Arianna now seems reluctant to return...
